Hybrid inverters

Hybrid current converters

Which hybrid inverter should you choose?

Hybrid inverters are divided into several main groups according to the voltage of the battery system used and the expected power requirements of the installation.

 LV (Low Voltage)
inverters operate with low-voltage battery systems, typically within an operating range of around 40–60 V DC, and are a popular choice for residential applications.

  HV (High Voltage)
inverters are designed for high-voltage battery systems and are usually selected where higher power, more efficient energy transfer and larger battery capacities are required. This is particularly relevant for households with higher energy demand, installations with larger loads or users planning to charge an electric vehicle.

C&I (Commercial & Industrial) hybrid inverters are designed for commercial, industrial, agricultural and other larger-scale installations. They are suitable for higher loads, larger energy storage systems and more advanced energy management. When selecting an inverter, it is important to consider not only its rated power, but also the size of the solar PV system, battery type, site loads, backup power requirements and possible future system expansion.

Elektromodus reminder: if whole-house backup is required, the inverter should be selected by considering the electrical connection capacity of the property, actual simultaneous loads and the loads that need to be supported in backup mode – not only the planned installed capacity of the solar PV system.
